How does the personal idea of home change, if you have to leave everything?
An overseecontainer as a place that opens new perspectives on refuge and home.
Audiotestimonials of people from East Prussia (former Germany), who had to leave the area arround Kaliningrad (Russia) as children or teenagers during the second worldwar counteract with statements of russian inhabitants, that were relocated in this teritory after 1945.
The confrontation of contemporary witnesses does not only tell personal stories, but invites the recipient to think about his own definition of home.
The Installation was show in the old harbourarrea during the Sommerblut Kulturfestival in Cologne.
